How to Buy

Choose which type of bond owner you are before you purchase your CPB or CSB.

Payroll Plan Owners

CSBs are only available through the Payroll Savings Program. The sales period runs from early October to 1 November.

• Contribute online
  During campaign, employees can set up a new Payroll plan or change their contributions by selecting CSB Online Services.

Certificated Bond Purchasers

Certificated CPBs are available for sale from early October to 1 December. If you purchase a CPB as a gift (available for as little as $100), request a gift card or print out one to accompany the gift.

• Buy where you bank or invest
  You can buy CPBs at most banks, credit unions, caisses populaires or trust companies across Canada, as well as through most full-service investment dealers and discount brokerage companies.
• Buy directly by phone
  To purchase certificated bonds, contact Customer Service.

Registered Plan Holders

To purchase bonds for your existing RSP Plan, owners can:

• Buy CPBs by phone
  Contact Customer Service for registered products.

• Contribute to a CSB online (through the Payroll Savings Program only)
  Go to CSB Online Services.
